“You don’t have to control your thoughts. You just have to stop letting them control you.”

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a method proven to be as effective, or even more effective, than prescription medications in treating a range of mental and behavioral health issues. From anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), life-disrupting phobias and eating disorders, CBT helps clients identify their thought patterns and the effect they have on their emotions and behaviors.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is another type of cognitive behavioral therapy used to address mental and behavioral health issues like depression, bipolar, substance abuse, eating disorders, PTSD and other trauma-related issues. This method teaches clients how to “live in the moment” by helping them develop skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness in balancing priorities and maintaining relationships.
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) combines cognitive behavioral therapy with meditative practices based on the cultivation of mindfulness and is designed to help people who suffer from anxiety and depressive disorders, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Panic Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Social Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), and treatment-resistant depression.
Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), also referred to as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), is a short-term, goal-focused therapeutic approach to treating anxiety, depression, stress, substance abuse and relationship problems. This method focuses on the client’s present and future circumstances, rather than past experiences, to incorporate positive psychology practices that help them achieve desired change by constructing solutions rather than focusing on problems.
Person Centered Therapy is a client-focused approach that facilitates self-discovery and self-acceptance to provide a means toward healing and positive growth. This method allows clients to take the lead in therapy discussions to help them discover their own solutions. The therapist is there to serve as a guide through the therapeutic process by providing encouragement and support without interrupting or interfering with the client’s self-discovery process.
Motivational Interviewing is an evidence-based, collaborative form of communication therapy designed to empower individuals to facilitate the desired change identified through the process. Typically used to treat substance abuse and addiction in clients who are either unmotivated or unprepared for change, this short-term approach to therapy involves helping clients find the motivation needed to change the behaviors that prevent them from making healthier choices.
